Park Terrace Hosts Successful Senior Olympics

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA The Olympic spirit arrived at Park Terrace Senior Living with a passionate round of cheering as residents prepared to compete in the 4th Annual Kisco Senior Olympic Games. Olympians competed in multiple events including: Chariot Race and Obstacle Course Balloon Volleyball Blind Sculpture Putting Bocce Ball Interactive Bowling Blackjack Word Sweep The Amazing Race
Executive Director Rick Lansford declared the start of the games at the Opening Ceremony by lighting the Olympic torch. Park Terrace Olympians competed against the residents of two nearby Kisco Senior Living Communities Emerald Court in Anaheim and The Patrician in La Jolla.
The overall winning team was from Emerald Court, earning a total of 11 medals. Park Terrace earned 9 medals overall and The Patrician earned 7 medals. Cindy Aitken of Park Terrace was thrilled to earn two gold medals and gushed It made me feel special and really lifted my spirits.
Residents from Emerald Court and The Patrician said that they needed to go home and practice Balloon Volleyball for next year because Park Terrace was so good. Emerald Court secured the gold in The Amazing Race and The Patrician won the gold in Bocce Ball.
The games were declared to be a great success and a terrific example of Kiscos signature Art of Living Wellsm culture. Senior athletes enjoyed a day of fun and activity while meeting new friends.
